CUSTOM ORTHOTICS
Orthotics, also known as insoles, are prescribed to prevent or arrest foot, ankle, and knee joint problems including: hammer toes, heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, bunions, metatarsal pain, shin splints and patella-femoral and meniscal problems. Secondarily, they can correct unequal leg length differences.

Custom orthotics address specific needs of each patient. Prior to casting, a biomechanical foot and ankle assessment as well as gait analysis are performed to understand how your feet function. It usually takes about 3 weeks for the orthotics to be fabricated and shipped back. The lifespan of orthotics depends on activity levels and body type. Generally, they last 5 years.

Orthotics can be prescribed by Dr. Arthur and are covered by most Extended Health plans. The cost is $500 and includes prescription, foot and gait analyses and casting.
